The Performance

This summer’s performance features principal dancers and soloists from some of the world’s most renowned ballet companies — artists typically seen only on the grandest international stages. On stage, they will be accompanied live by internationally acclaimed opera singers and classical musicians.

The programme presents an exquisite mix of highlights from beloved classics such as The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and Manon, along with newly choreographed works created exclusively for the World Ballet.

Tenor and master of ceremonies Jens-Christian Wandt sets the artistic tone for the evening. With engaging anecdotes and introductions to the repertoire, he brings it all together into a cohesive and enchanting experience of the highest caliber.

In this unique collaboration between nature, weather, and world-class art — with the outdoors as our stage — we create a truly unforgettable ballet experience, shaped by the soul and character of this extraordinary setting.

Important Information

Doors open at 5:30 PM for dining guests and at 6:30 PM for all other guests.
Please remember to bring your ticket, either printed or digital.

The performance lasts approximately two hours, including an intermission, and starts promptly.

There will be an opportunity to purchase cold and hot drinks on the day. Food and other refreshments must be pre-ordered as an add-on after purchasing your ticket. Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed.

Guests who have purchased a VIP table ticket including the ballet menu can look forward to a carefully composed gourmet menu from Restaurant EAT, based on the season’s best and freshest quality ingredients. The menu consists of a two-course dinner including a wine pairing, plus coffee and cake during the intermission.
Please contact Great Northern if you would like an alcohol-free alternative to the dinner.

There will also be the option to purchase a picnic basket and, naturally, to stay in Great Northern’s exclusive rooms.

Please remember to dress warmly for the Danish summer—perhaps even bring a raincoat and a blanket to share on the seating rows. At Great Northern, the sun sets right behind the dancers, so sunglasses or a hat with a brim may be useful. For the sake of visibility, umbrellas are not allowed.

At the audience’s request, it is now—just as in any other theater setting—NOT allowed to take photographs during the performance.

There is free parking available, as well as extra parking arranged for the event. Please allow 10-15 minutes walking time from the parking area to Great Northern, so we recommend arriving in good time.

Verdensballetten offers a companion ticket for wheelchair users or disabled guests upon presentation of a valid companion permit (does not apply to the VIP section). Please contact the ticket call center at +45 70 20 20 96 to purchase companion tickets.

For the sake of the shared experience, dogs are not allowed.

Address: Great Northern Ave 1, 5300 Kerteminde
